ABOUT PROJECT

Fathers Incorporated (FI) is a national, non-profit organization working to build stronger families and communities through the promotion of Responsible Fatherhood. Established in 2004, FI has a unique seat at the national table, working with leaders in the White House, Congress, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Family Law, and the Responsible Fatherhood Movement.

With more than 25 years of community development experience, FI's leader; Kenneth Braswell also serves as the Director of President Obama’s National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse (NRFC) www.fatherhood.gov. The NRFC is a widely recognized national and international resource for fathers, practitioners, researchers and policymakers.

The Daddy Diaper Drive is one of many projects designed to continually engage fathers in the lives of their children. In our work we understand how fathers are often used to hightlight family problems. Our challege is to ensure that these same dads are looked at with respect to being part of the solution.

Research clearly points out that families are more likely to be poor when fathers are not engaged. This points out the critical need to engage them in every aspect of provision. Including engaging them in an active deployment of services that recognizes fathers too are in need of chariable attention.
